Adam Hyde, widely recognised as one half of the acclaimed Australian electronic duo. Peking Duk joins us on the roof with his solo project Keli Holiday.
Slinking around in his leopard print pants, signature bare-chest out reminiscent of 80s rock icons, Keli Holiday performs ‘Lowdown’ giving us something, just a bit different. It’s genuinely groovy, fun, sexy and will undoubtably coerce you into immediately dancing around your home and tiptoeing to the liquor cupboard. And we know anyone who’s a fan of Peking Duk and the Peking Duk social channels, will know that Adam brings a heartfelt, main character energy to anything he does. This new musical project is an evolution of his online personality whilst also showcasing his inner personal side, with vulnerable lyrics about everything from death, to heartbreak, and his relationships. “Lowdown talks about the push and pull of a toxic relationship that unfortunately a lot of us know all too well. You know it’s bad but you can’t stop. You’re just as bad as one another and love it,” said Holiday.
Never one to sit still, Adam has been riding the rollercoaster of where the Keli Holiday project can go alongside the busy Peking Duk tours, and so far it’s been running wild like a teen brumby. When speaking recently to Pilerats Mag, he talked about being busy with multiple musical projects. “I love it. To be honest it feels like a privilege to have multiple streams of dreaming to dive into.” And we love that for him.
For this Keli Holiday venture, Adam enlisted some star-studded collaborators in the form of Twin Shadow (Alt J, HAIM, Lady Gaga, Flume, Billy Idol, The Drums) who co-produced the record, with singles brought into being with Kirin J Callinan, blackpaw, and Dante Knows. Regardless of the A-lister support, Adam’s raw authenticity as a genuinely cool guy with his heart on his sleeve, giving out his mischievous stallion energy will no doubt convert listeners into fans and have ears pricked for his upcoming Keli Holiday tours.

MORE MOODS
Jack Gray Australia
Jack Gray performs Winter City like a late check-in from the road, all cold-air pop hooks and touring fatigue, the sound of an Australian kid looking around a foreign skyline and turning the homesick feeling into something you can sing along to.
Taka Perry Australia/Japan
Taka Perry turns the roof into his own control room, flipping between instruments as he runs through Diamonds and Only U with Gia Vorne.
Chris Lanzon Australia
Chris Lanzon leans into New York, Falling Apart with that late-night, headphones-on energy, turning the roof into something closer to a diary page than a stage. It’s restrained, bruised pop songwriting, all small details and a hook that lingers longer than it should.
Taka Perry x BOY SODA Australia
BOY SODA and Taka Perry’s “Lemonade” feels like a sun-shot R&B flex from two artists who locked in on day one, all bounce, bass and sly hooks, built in under an hour and still hitting like a long-game summer anthem.
